even Cruz now admits that this obamatrade will change immigration laws . he states this as 1 of his reasons for doing his flip flop vote changing his vote to no on obamatrade now. he SAID that he and Sessions tried to add ammendments that would stop obama from changing immigration laws but those FAILED to pass. but he defended obamatrade up until yesterday. he said wikileaks leaked the immigration changing parts of it.

DUH!! The FIRST TPA bill DID have Cruz’s amendment to take out the immigration crap, hence why he voted YAY.

The SECOND TPA bill took OUT his amendment....hence why he voted NO.

He didn’t realize this until right before the vote.

Cruz voted MANY times to advance this TPA on many cloture votes etc. and his amendment wasn't on this bill then as it never got approved.

He only voted this LAST time against it finally but it's too late now as TPA will pass which will make passing TPP a formality as TPA eliminates all the tools the Senate had to stop TPP

Article III, Section 3, Paragraph 1, of the Constitution of the United States:

The "aid and comfort" prong of treason has been interpreted
by SCOTUS as requiring proof of four elements:
1. an intent to betray the United States (which can be inferred from);
2. an overt act;
3. witnessed by two people; and
4. that provides aid and comfort to an enemy of the United States.

First off, let’s get some things straight.

cloture - The only procedure by which the Senate can vote to place a time limit on consideration of a bill or other matter, and thereby overcome a filibuster. Under the cloture rule (Rule XXII), the Senate may limit consideration of a pending matter to 30 additional hours, but only by vote of three-fifths of the full Senate, normally 60 votes.

So a “cloture” vote is not voting FOR the bill itself, but for voting to continue or set a time limit for consideration of a bill.

And where do you get your information that Ted Cruz voted NUMEROUS TIMES to advance the TPA? Because, last I checked, there have only been 2 votes on THIS TPA bill, today being one of them.

You must be confusing TPP with TPA, as many people are. TPP is the trade deal, that I agree, is a scary idea. But since NO ONE has read it outside of DC, and NONE OF US know exactly what is in it, for us to “speculate” and drag on like it’s this HORRID thing, without ALL the facts, is, well, a bit of a knee jerk reaction. Granted, it is Obama at the helm, so I can only imagine, it’s a disaster. But again, without ALL THE FACTS, it shouldn’t even be part of our vernacular until we KNOW. Let’s use some common sense here...if you can find it.

TPA on the other hand, is the procedures FOR the TPP (Trade Deal). Either you lack the understanding about what the TPA does or you have fallen for the MSM/left-wing misinformation, about what the TPA does. Because as it was passed, WITH Cruz’s amendment, it WOULD have the tools in it TO STOP Obama and get more transparency and oversight on the trade bill.

You are DEAD WRONG when you say Ted Cruz’s amendment was not in the first passing, as it was. TPA didn’t pass the first time, because of TAA, which was tied to it.

But this SECOND vote for TPA today, does NOT have Ted’s amendment in it, and like I said before, is one of the reasons he is voting NAY.

And for the record, I never called you a name. I said you were a liar, because you are. And I said you are daft, because you are. Those aren’t names, they are descriptions of your character. You are not posting the TRUTH about Obamatrade, because YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS IN OBAMATRADE. And as well, as I’ve mentioned above, have clearly confused it with TPA (the procedural methods), so this “truth” you speak of, is invalidated.

Not once did I ever say or concern myself what or how Cruz looks like on this. Not once. Your little spiel doesn’t make any sense.

At least we can agree the Obamatrade deal is probably a bad thing. But again, coming on and posting the drivel you have, and then claiming it’s “truth”, is unacceptable and spreading misinformation and you’re damn right you’re going to get jumped on.

They are voting for TAA. right now. I’ve been out for most of the day. Cruz and Cotton voted against. I think this may just be cloture.

Who the heck knows what the final bill looks like on TPA. I despise Boehner and McConnell.
