This makes me sick to think people would eat dogs, man’s best friend. They are animals, but they are a very special kind of animal. Their bonding to humans is such that they feel connected on levels that go beyond commitments of many people I know.
BO has admitted to eating dogs. If we go back in his African family history, we are likely to find many had also eaten people.

Hear, hear. Many dogs have sacrificed themselves for their human family members. They are a special kind of friend.
I brought that up to my daughter - what if India tried to get us from eating beef. Although it was with regard to how odd we think it is that folks in Europe eat horse meat.
Well the Chinese also eat cats and buy them live in the markets to take home and cook. Given this ,Australia, which has a huge wild feral car population, they should export to China.
By the way the rumor was when Athens had the Olympics a few years back they rounded up over 20,000 stray dogs and sent them to China.
Man’s best friend can also be man’s worst enemy, particularly if you are a poor person who doesn’t have poultry or other livestock to spare if poultry and rabbit-killing dogs are loose. If you are a villager any dog that wasn’t your guard dog would be a threat, and could in fact be important protein and a welcome change from eating more valuable and productive livestock. The practice of eating them probably came about in part as a way to control dogs that prey on farm animals, and continued because they developed a taste for it, and because eating a threat is more economical than killing one of your domestic animals for supper.
One way or another they would have to control the dog population to protect their livelihoods.
That said, it would be better if they were humane about it. There are other ways to tenderize meat.
Mainly the French. And we're not the only ones who find it odd. I was in a restaurant in the French part of Switzerland that had cheval on the menu, and an Iranian guy told my wife how totally disgusting he thought that was.
More often, other men are your worst enemy. For example, progressive sniveling liberals, commies, socialists, and the like are my worst enemies.
