Iran wasn’t in the first Ottoman empire. In 1513, the Turks conquered Egypt and fended off Iran, forming the Ottoman Empire. Iran ruled Afghanistan, Northern India (now Pakistan, Bangladesh and Kashmir), and other Eastern, non-Arabic regions. So if he wants Iran to head Ottoman II, it’s really Persian Empire II.
