But it’s also a key ingredient in preservatives. So snacks like Doritos chips will only last half the time on the shelf before going stale. This means the manufactures and grocers will be disposing (not selling) those bags of snacks at twice the rate as before. An expensive cost adjustment will need to be made to correct the waste. This cost will be passed onto you, the consumer.

That's as may be. But it's not government's role, or worse yet the President's role, to tell me I can't have them.
