I get it. With 15 people onstage, the debates will be enough of a circus without having a clown there. But on what grounds would you go about excluding Trump and no one else?
And
wouldnt this backfire tremendously? Lets think this through.

Trump may be a clown, but he’s quite dangerous to the GOP, whether they allow him in, or show him the blackball. If he’s in he says stuff, quite a lot of it complete nonsense, but some of it way too close to the truth about the GOPe for their comfort. If he’s out he’s a self-financing independent threat. At least for awhile until he qualifies for state primary ballots and thereafter runs afoul of the many sore-loser laws if he tries to run in the general outside the Republican Party.
When I was a kid I use to have a major clown phobia, to the point where my parents brought me to the emergency room one time lol lol. I’m 52 and grew up in the 60s and 70s and use to scream and freak out everytime Bozo would appear on TV. This photo freaks me out, to this day I still have slight remnants of it. It’s hard to explain, it’s like the universe has been completely destroyed. If I was in the room with all those guys, I would probably throw up. I have no idea why, I guess it’s just the wiring of the brain. The last “fit” I had was around 15 years ago when someone dressed as a clown at my companies Halloween party and I puked right on the floor and in front of the boss no less LOL!
I have to give Trump credit. With having his own money he isn’t beholden to any special interests like Bush, Clintons and a few othe candidates so he’s letting it rip. I don’t agree with some of his beliefs and I doubt I’ll vote for him but I like the ‘fresh’ talk and many voters will like that
By the way, the import of my last post is that they really have no practical choice but to let him in.
With more than 3 candidates the only information we will learn is which candidates the moderator likes.

So says the CURRENT Political Director of the Bush campaign.
What else does anyone need to know?
Trump has turned the 2016 race into an election between him and Washington DC.
They’ve all got baggage.
Yea, I bet they do...
You’re right.
“other baggage”
What about Clinton’s baggage and for that matter the head RINO’s baggage, Bush...
Ahh the Donald. Finally the right has a candidate that matches Hilary’s stature, intellect, and popularity.
That is very, very, very mean.
Darn right.
Funny, though.
That guy proves clowns are based on evil.
not nice
A 3rd party Trump Oprah ticket might actually garner quite a few votes; 18% Id guess which is enough to effect the election. Im not sure if that is about what Perot got.
