"Resources for the Future has concluded the carbon fee would reduce U.S. CO2 emissions 40 percent by 2025."

There's a number totally pulled out of someone's arse. I think any action that resulted in a 40% reduction in the REDUCE-ABLE portion of CO2 emissions in the U.S. would be considered a wild success by these guys, but to claim it is a 40% reduction in ALL CO2 emissions -- well, that's just a lie.

Unless they start killing off people.
