The Dixie Chicks one of the best-selling U.S. female groups of all time are back and ready to take the stage again for a proper tour, nearly a decade after the release of their last all-original album, "Take the Long Way (2006)."

Outspoken frontwoman Natalie Maines and sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Robison have announced that they will embark on a European tour in 2016, following up on their recent six-date spring European tour, which began in late April 2015.

They turned around and released the song “not ready to make nice” and pretty much dedicated it to the people who didn’t care for the cow’s statement.

They’re from Austin. That says everything.

Need to call them “Northeastern Liberal Chicks” instead of “Dixie”.

It was on a late in the game “60 Minutes” interview that they did say they supported Maines’ statements. The undertone was that they weren’t coerced but didn’t seem totally on board with their support. Never seen any comments by them on this issue reported since then.

I really like some of their music but Natalie's politics are too much to handle. This parody was the best:

“Eventually many Freepers came around to their way of thinking.”

Perhaps, but we don’t go over to other countries and run our mouths off about it to foreigners.

The Dixie Chicks were not fans of George W Bush. Eventually many Freepers came around to their way of thinking.

This is a bit more than not being a Bush fan. It was a slam against Texas, and it was airing a domestic political issue overseas.

Wasn’t their 15 minutes of fame up a few years ago.

And she didn’t stop there. She went on to “waive the middle finger” at any and all of her critics in song and in interviews. She dug the hole deeper for herself and the rest of the group.

Didn’t they start playing Lilith Fair shortly after Nat opened her gaping pie hole?

I became disillusioned with GWB, too. But my beef with the Chicks is that they slammed Bush in front of a crowd on foreign soil, a crowd they knew would erupt in cheers of agreement and approval. Then they claimed to be "brave." If they really wanted to be brave, why not slam Bush in front of a crowd in, say, Texas?

One of them wearing a T-shirt that said "F*** you Toby Keith" did not endear them to me, either. They are unprofessional, immature, disrespectful snots.

One of the sisters was married to a country singer/song writer. He came out and said that they didn’t agree with her trying to save their careers. Then the idiot wife came out and said that yes they did support NM. That was the end of the career and the marriage. BTW, I remember going on eBay to see what was happening to the tickets that nobody wanted anymore - saw a pair for the Houston show close to the stage and the starting bid was $1.00!!! I LMAO. The next day I took my cds to work and we had a beer while we were smashing them.

After having put it in proper context over the years I no longer have an issue with it. Allow me to explain. The DCs are liberal. Liberal means hating borders. Hating nationalism. Ergo, by definition, liberals are not American as they do not recognize existence of a country. So while at the time I was pissed righteously, today, I consider it no worse than a Muslim trashing the Great Satan in front of their home audience. Who GAFs what an non American thinks?

BTW, is she still a muslim?

the first thing you need to know about the Dixie Chicks is that they were born lacking minds
