Not defending him. Think he lied many times.
My view: Because you are mistaken does not make you a liar. You are simply mistaken in your belief. However, to deliberately misrepresent, to say something you know to be untrue. . .that is a lie.
there is zero doubt in anyone’s mind that he lied. the topic of my comment was whether he was owning up to it. another commenter said “gee at least now he is admitting that he lied”. i was saying that his confession was again false because he never says “i lied”. he says he said some things that weren’t true. he’s still leaving wiggle room there. he’s still not fully owning up to it.
