If someone conducts a mass shooting, they should probably have been on much stronger psychotropic meds than an SSRI.
Benzos are seldom a sole drug of abuse. They are scheduled drugs on the Controlled Substance list. To get them, someone would use illicit channels. It can be fatal to use benzos with alcohol, so they are generally abused along with barbiturates (e.g. phenobarbital) and opioids (e.g. morphine, heroin).
Phenobarbital and some benzos are known to cause behavioral disturbances. Not so for SSRIs.
