If he had said "I love you" while pulling the trigger, would it still be considered a hate crime? What an absurd concept.
The concept was developed just for situations like this shooting; i.e. a crazy white. People pass laws against that which they fear.
Totally agree. The victim can't be deader than dead in a "hate crime;" ergo, any first-degree murder is as egregious as any other.
