Sara Cowles
COLUMBIA - Service for Sara Davis Cowles, 83, will be held Thursday at 3 p.m at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday 6-8 p.m at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cowles, wife of the late Andrew Carson Cowles, died Monday, April 4, 2005. Born in Greer, she was a daughter of the late George A. and Pearl Hendricks Davis. She was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Carson L. Cowles and Tere Walker of Gaston; daughters and son-in-law, Susan C. and Clay Hargis of Gaston and Amelia “Amy” Roof of Columbia; grandchildren, Kasey, Amber, Dylann, Travis, Andrew, Kelsey and Brittany; and two half- sisters. She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters.
The family extends special thanks to Bill Shockey for the love and caring of Mrs. Cowles.
