What we don’t know is the number of people in the church besides the one woman not killed and those who were killed. It’s possible she clearly saw him or that others, if they were there, saw him. They could be the source of the “white male” designation. I wouldn’t think the photo is conclusive enough to determine that, although I don’t know the type of equipment that law enforcement has. It’s possible they have an analysis program that makes these things rock solid. Just don’t know.
My take on the picture, though, is that that person in the released photo is not necessarily white.
