One good thing about Trump: his candidacy rankles the GOPe, probably because they fear some Bush votes or perhaps votes for other establishment candidates being taken away by Trump's presence on the ballot in the early primaries and caucuses. Of course they are well aware that Trump can survive in the primary process longer than many others and can get himself on any state primary ballot he wishes because of his deep pockets. They are also concerned that Trump may make the "Top Ten" in polls, and thus would participate in the first debate coming up on FoxNews in a month or two.
The GOPe isn't saying this directly, but they are disguising it when they say that Trump's "extreme" positions will hurt the party's "brand." Not surprisingly, On today's Michael Medved show, Jennifer Rubin, the WaPo's house (lower case "h") Republican, blasted Trump from the GOPe's perspective. I heard on Rush's show today that Dana Perrino did the same thing on FoxNews yesterday.

Yeh like the party brand is so great now. It sucks.

Note how Trumps announcement took the fire out of Job’s. That MAY be the game he’s playing

Absolutely agree. And Rush mentioned something I hadn't thought of, which is some of these guys who have no chance (Huckabee, Trump) are running specifically to get a couple of "their" issues addressed by the party---Huckabee, pro-life Christian values stuff, Trump trade issues. Many of the others, like Kasich, Graham, are running for VP, just trying to get enough % that the winner would say, "Hey, he could help me in OH or on x issue."
To me the one who continues to impress is Fiorina. She makes virtually no flubs or gaffes, has tremendous "opposition research" on the drive-by media who interview her and always has a masterful response to their "gotcha's." I know a lot here will think she's too soft on social issues, but that's not my concern about her. I just wonder if she is enough of a firebrand (like Palin was) to really gin up the crowds and voters. Policy wise, she's very skilled.
