It is phenomenal how much water has fallen in Texas - major reservoirs and lakes were almost completely dry and for years rain might fall a bit but not on the watersheds for those lakes. I know several people who had to abandon their homes for lack of water but within weeks the lakes filled and those homes are now much desired locations! We are all still in awe as many said the lakes would NEVER fill again.
