THEREFORE, lack of a criminal record, as with TWO THIRDS of the folks who were arrested, proves to ME, a person who actually lives, breathes, lives and loves real people in the real world, that two third of them were just ... bikers, not even wanna-be bad boys. It's pretty obvious.
I am as naïve as a baby when it comes to NYC -- you are from there or live there, correct? -- and I could easily be duped regarding anything to do with NYC culture; I know it. YOU are as naïve when it comes to Harley riders -- the difference is you don't know it.

And just because someone doesn't have a criminal history doesn't immediately exclude them from prosecution. That's where facts and evidence come in.
I mean, come on. There were NINE dead bodies in a parking lot of a restaurant! And if you were part of a gang that contributed to those deaths, even if it ends up that you weren't directly involved in violence, you need to be investigated. And bail needs to be set in a way to discourage you jumping it. These guys are known to be transient. Many of them, anyway.
