An anonymous apparent fan of pigs and fairy tales is offering some shelter for any piglets still loose after a semitrailer crash last week in southwest Ohio.

Motorists on U.S. Route 35 in Xenia Township west of Dayton noticed Monday the three small houses along the highway, built fabled "Three Little Pigs" style: That means one of straw or hay, one of sticks and one of bricks.

The Dayton Daily News reports that no big bad wolves had huffed and puffed enough to blow down any houses by late afternoon.

You can't just snag a favorite picture from a desktop folder...it has to be hosted someplace on line to be posted here.

Best bet is to save the image to an image hosting service, I use Photobucket. In Firefox right click and select "Copy image location", in Safari right click and select "Open image in new tab" and copy the address in the address bar. Other browsers have similar tricks.

You can pre-cue a YouTube video by adding a t parameter to the link. Like so:

Xenia is EAST of Dayton. Affirmative idiocy strikes again.

Very interesting. We drove by there twice last night, about 6:30 and then 8 PM and those weren’t there.

Anyone recall the big wind in Zenia around 74 or 75? It was strong enough to blow down brick houses.

April 3, 1974. Tornadoes devastated Xenia and the Cincinnati neighborhood of Saylor Park. I was eleven at the time and recall vividly standing on my Mom’s back porch watching a tornado form.

I was living in Fort Knox at the time that cluster of tornadoes hit the Midwest. Many of Brandenburg’s casualties were medevaced into the hospital that was a few hundred yards behind our quarters. Lots of sorties.
