The Kurds are our only true ally (other than Israel). Interestingly, the Iraqi Kurds in the north are allies of Israel and have proclaimed so because they feel they have both suffered the same type of oppression. They have shown time and again (be it Syrian or Iraqi Kurds) that they can be trusted. They are the only ones interested in creating a modern 21st century secular state. Out of all the peoples in the area, the Kurds of Syria, Turkey and Iraq deserve their own country.
You said it and I agree. The Kurds look to tomorrow instead of living in the past.
The Kurds are very pro-American. You can ask anyone who has been around them; they appreciate the support the US has given them during Saddam’s years and their liberation by US forces.
