Driving to Ohio to kill themselves! 15 + 16!
One is now dead and the other charged with murder. (No, the Trooper did not die, but in Florida, if you participate in a crime where a person dies, even if is another perp, you face murder charges.)

yeah, I dont know how i feel about her being charged with murder. She is an idiot, and put people’s lives in danger by not reporting her crazy boyfriend, but murder to me is a stretch.

Prosecutors have gotten very lazy with their overcharging.
They charge jaywalkers with other nonsense charges which are plea-bargained away and still count the resulting misdemeanor in the ‘win’ column which they use to polish up their CVs.

Trooper didn’t die so if they have a smart lawyer, they will plead it down to 5-8, out in 3-4.

But the girl wasn’t in the process of committing a crime. If i am out with a friend for a beer and he gets pulled over while driving and shoots the cop I dont see how i am culpable.

Since she stole the gun that was used to shoot the trooper, and that probably would have been used to murder one or more innocent people, she can rot in prison as far as I’m concerned.
They had already BOTH stolen money and a gun. They were fleeing felons. Kid probably shot because he thought Trooper was coming to discuss that and she had no DL in Florida at 16.
So parents would have been called....
