A few weeks ago, I had an epiphany about transgender people. I posed it like this:

"If I were to suddenly claim to be a woman (contrary to my biology), I would get all sorts of support. But then if I suddenly claim to be black, I would get excoriated."

Since I started making this joke, Bruce Jenner came out as transgender-- and now this woman claims to be "black." And once again, I wonder if our society is beyond parody.

In the same vain. Now with same sex marriage (male + male). Should we now reclassify the rectum as a sex organ?
