I lived in Paradise,(Butte County) California for fifteen years and called myself a Northstater as to not be confused with the Bay Area. I still have kin there.
Southern California and the Bay Area will never vote to let go of the North-State of California unless their is some sort of armed rebellion. That won’t happen in our lifetime.
The lower of the two states would be in effect Mexico anyway although the Chinese presence there is becoming quite large.
Actually, there is an anti-Jefferson group
called Keep it California. They claim that
the northern counties receive more in tax
dollars than we pay. If that is true then the
rest of the state should be delighted to
get rid of us.
The new state would be business friendly and
as a former resident of Paradise you know that
in time we would be pulling businesses away from
North Mexico and from other states, as well.
Great atmosphere, great climate. Droughts come
and go which is something else you already know.
