“.. — why would an amended Constitution make a difference?”

Yes, it is a joke. They can make all the amendments they want, but if the Feds (Congress primarily) do not ENFORCE the Constitution, it is meaningless. That is what we have now. Obama, for example, should have been thrown out of the WH a long time ago for his anti-Constitutional crimes and abuse of power in general. This, along with his stooges who have carried out his abusive orders in many areas.

Hard to say, overall. Maybe there is some value in making the Constitution more stringent but the process would open up the opportunity for the radical, anti-American left to mess things up. Mixed emotions on this one.

It is ill-rational to expect the Federal Government and its employees to enforce the Federal Constitution against themselves.

Theses men whether they be leftist democrats like Obama or RINO republicans like Graham and John are politicians who came to Washington because they wanted power to rule thing. Their appointees on the court and every other department were appointed by them to serve their ends.

Relying on theses people to uphold a Constitution of limits upon their own power is no different than relying upon the inmates to run a prison. There must be an external force interested in Keeping Washington’s power out of our lives with veto over their edicts or the walls of that prison won’t keep anyone or anything locked in there for long.

In short our States Must give themselves directly some kind of veto power like that or perhaps even superior to the senate they lost 100 years ago.
