Ted Cruz: Jeff Sessions is WRONG about ObamaTrade deal – [FULL AUDIO]
The Right Scoop ^ | June 12, 2015 | Staff

Posted on 06/12/2015 6:28:36 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Ted Cruz was on with Jeff Kuhner this morning and answered some tough questions about why he supports the TPA/TPP agreements. One of the questions was specifically about what Jeff Sessions has been saying about the trade deal and Cruz blatantly said that what Sessions has been saying is not accurate. In short, he said that the US is not ceding any sovereignty to any transnational commission, that it has no power to bind the US with any law or agreement.

The interview is 24 minutes long and I urge you to listen to the whole thing. But if you want to skip ahead to the Q&A about Jeff Sessions take on this, it begins around 16:10.

Listen:

UPDATE: Also read here where Ted explains more thoroughly his position and answers questions like why TPP is not a ‘living document’.

No Jeff Sessions is right. I am so thankful he is my Senator. I really thought Ted Cruz had the right stuff but without an apology he is no better to me than Jeb Bush. Enough of this not listening!!

If it is so important, what is the hurry? If a sizable majority of Americans are against something, and you think it is right, you DO NOT simply force it down our throats, you back off until we are convinced it will not be used by our malevolent occupant of the White Mosque.

I am so disappointed that Cruz stepped in this mess poorly. I am sick of the GOPe. I am through with the jerks. All of them.

Any law providing this insane bastard with any more power than he has already is lunacy. They should adopt laws RESTRICTIONS presidential and bureaucratic power, not AUGMENTING it!!!!

Reading this thread is very reassuring.

The reassuring part is that most Freepers don’t trust secret legislation.

We can get along without this TPP for two more years, and then the Republican President, Cruz for those on this forum who are pushing for him, can re-introduce it.

The fact that Cruz can’t wait is very unsettling.

I thought Cruz was smarter, and far more patriotic than he appears to be at the moment.

Looks bad for Cruz. Sidling up to a stealth plan does not do him any favors right now. Oh boy.

Agree. What’s the rush to give 0bola what he wants? If it’s so great for the country and Republicans, why not wait 17 months?

My Ted Cruz friends– the question is– How would Senator Cruz react to this mindless vitriol unleashed here on FR by some who are merely hateful nativists; racists; ignorant; spiteful; vengeful; adversaries; liberals or simply misinformed?

Sen. Cruz would patiently articulate doctrinaire conservatism. Now, we must also be patient. There are some on the Board who simply do not have the IQ quotient to comprehend ideological conservatism- and they don’t even realize, that they are now the tools of the unions, the Warrens and the Schumers. .

Sen. Cruz will be the Republican nominee. Why? Because, even on this issue, we see he is the focus of this entire debate– not just on FR— but everywhere. It’s not Walker or Rubio or Bush— it’s Mr. Conservative, Ted Cruz. They all know that he’s the one they have to beat– and he’s the one they can’t beat.

As for these little girls who now spout eternal hatred —as if they’re boyfriend forgot to call on time— they will ultimately realize that Ted Cruz is loyal to the core, the best that there is. They will realize that he is the ONE man, who can restore a limited gov’t, constitutional America.

For the time being, cut them some slack— they’re just emotional and not thinking clearly.

I’m going to really enjoy watching the candidates get torn down one by one.

There are a good many stinking libs and RINOs on FR right now. I think I will go watch the sunset over the water.

I do wonder what they are going to do if they are successful in taking Cruz out. I know that for me, that is the only candidate I was willing to vote for....and I will not change on this.

~~Cruz, OR LOSE~~ Ted Cruz REMAINS the only true Conservative in this race.

CC, Sen. Cruz will come out the better for this, because he didn’t flinch. He will earn the respect of the business community because he stood for a principle- free trade. And those “conservatives” who are upset now, they’ll ultimately realize that Sen, Cruz’s convictions demonstrate he will not cave his conservative core to the Gop-e.

VinL....God bless you. That was one of, if not the most, intelligent posts I have read all day....maybe all week. Thank you.

However, I will not cut them ANY slack....these small brained people are reckless and vicious.

Gator, we take our stand tonight. No more maligning Ted Cruz. Disagree on his position on free trade- cool, difference of opinion. Call him a traitor, Obama co-conspirator,etc—— that’s utter garbage— they can take that to DU.
