If people waited until marriage for sex, a lot of problems would go away. For starters, no STDs, no out-of-wedlock pregnancies, no need for Gardasil, etc. Of course, waiting until marriage is SO old-fashioned ... only ‘cults’ and Bible thumpers would engage in such restrictive, un-PC behavior ..... /SARC
My granddaughter at 16 chose not to have the shot because she didn’t plan on sleeping around and she didn’t plan on having a forever relationship with anyone who had.
She’s 21 now and has stuck to her ideals. And that even as a college cheerleader where it is almost a cesspool of immorality. She always tried to influence her teammates and feels like she had some success.
My daughter’s pediatrician tried to make us get the Gardasil vaccine last week during a well check.
I said I was concerned about side effects, citing thousands of girls with collapsed immune systems, paralyzed and other side effects. And that the original plan was one shot for life, but now they need a booster - so the vaccine may change over time.
The doctor accused me of being anti-vaxxer.
I challenged her to look at the kids’ shot record; all on schedule, though sometimes paying for extra visits to space out shots to reduce the impact. I said I agreed with the effects of vaccines, but not the risk this one vaccine posed.
She threw a bunch of literature at me and let us leave, but this was ridiculous.
