Yeah but Cruz’s 2% regards to the worst policies possible, TPA, TPP, Freedom Act, H1B1... These are major issues to be wrong on.
They are.
Romney was wrong on ALL major issues before being for or against and then for or against them again. And people voted for him anyway.
No excuse to refuse Cruz based on that alone.
I did not vote for Romney.
Good. So why defend the mistakes that led to him?
Cruz has made a bad mistake. Siding with Obama on this trade bill says it all.
I am taking notes and watching this so called Congress. Most of them are no better than our illustrious leader in the White House. They are bought and paid for by entities that have no resemblance to the people who elected them.
I am very disappointed that Cruz chose this path. But, I am glad I found out early on in this process. No vote from me (or money).

I knew that many FReepers, given time, would begin turning on Cruz.
Isn’t it interesting that those who castigated those of us who voted for Romney in 2012, are now having a hissy fit that some are beginning to disown Cruz and may not vote for him. I guess staying home, not voting, and having a pity party when your candidate doesn’t win the primary is only noble for those who had issues with Romney. Any scrutiny of Cruz is off limits.
You folks who stayed home in 2012 set a precedence: If your guy doesn’t win...stay home!

I am willing to give cruz ONE mulligan, but I am going to watch him like Hawk from here on out.
And that is the crux of the problem. My biggest focus right now is undermining Senor Jeb in anyway I can and see what’s left if we can make him lose.
Anyone who votes YES for any bill whose text is being kept from their own constituents is not doing their constitutional job and DUTY as a representative of the people or the state (if they are a senator)...
51 votes to pass, 60 votes to deny, and that with no amendments allowed. Yep, really above board.
[ Another poster here postulated that Cruz supported TPA because he wants the fastrack power when (if) he becomes pres. If this is the case that’s deplorable. As for TPP, its secret so who knows... ]
I imagine a lot of freepers are feeling the same way someone does when they walk into a used car sales lot and see a smiling salesperson with too big of a smile who seems to friendly and we are feeling very trepidations right now, especially with congress approval levels as damned low as they are right now...

If Cruz screws this up, I suggest we we start a “DRAFT JEFF SESSIONS” for 2016 movement.

Any Rep or Senator who VOTES for ANY BILL that is having it’s deals KEPT from their Constituents BEFORE it is Voted on, IS NOT DOING THEIR DAMNED JOB!

Hell, why stop there, Why even bother having a senate or house if we hand the executive branch this much power, might as well just dissolve both houses and declare the United States of America as being dead and declaring a new “American Empire”.
