These ladies need to chill out.I have worked next to attractive females and been distracted b4, at least when I was younger anyways. Nothing much wrong with that as long as you keep your feelings to yourself and get the job done.

When I see the 3 words, 'sexy', 'female', and 'scientist', together, I immediately think of...

 photo Hedy Lamar 01_zpsjjjv4gxs.jpg

“Hedy Lamarr, a Hollywood actress known for her good looks and classic come-hither bedroom gaze, also played a key role in developing cell phone technology widely used today.

Born 100 years ago today [Nov 9, 2014] in Vienna, the actress made a lesser-known contribution to wireless communication when she tried to defuse a potential military threat during World War II. To prevent remote-controlled torpedoes from being hijacked, she helped develop an early version of spread spectrum communication, which is part of the basis for wireless technologies such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.”

I’ve seen girls cry in the lab. Its not uncommon for some to admit they cry when they get home. Seen plenty of lab romances, some work some dont. Its really not that big a deal.

Don't know. Could you perhaps be confusing her with this person?

marie anderson l as janet terry jones r as mystico mystico and janet ...

"Yes Janet. A quiet, shy girl. An honours graduate from Harvard University, American junior sprint record holder, ex-world skating champion, Nobel Prize winner, architect, novelist and surgeon. The girl who helped crack the Oppenheimer spy ring in 1947. She gave vital evidence to the Senate Narcotics Commission in 1958. ..."

Good for them.
I knew right away there were two options:
1. Prove him wrong.
2. Go batshit crazy attacking the messenger (and his career) and prove him right.

These girls are choosing option 1.

95% of the women I’ve worked with in science/engineering have been graded, paid and promoted far beyond what they deserved. They flirt with and then extort help from their male colleagues. They drag down the groups they join. Their major contribution is in the political correctness numbers game. Having a woman or other token helps deflect witch hunts for “privilege”.

I know some women who kick scientific butt, but even they are unfairly advantaged. I’ve watched “B” average female engineering students get the full court job recruitment process that only a few top “A” average male engineering students get. When the rare, scientifically talented female comes along, they are treated like rock stars.

What is particularly hurtful is that women are more often promoted to higher paying administrative positions because they are incompetent in their technical positions (Peter Principle).

And they wonder why there are too few people going into science (Gresham’s law).

Carol Cleveland of Monty Python’s Flying Circus. Quite a looker! Spent a good deal of her youth in the U.S. as her dad was some sort of British military attache who was a liason to their American allies.

She even won a Teen Miss pageant on California.
And a tremendously good sport....those guys put her through everything on that show!
