“the cop was in the right”

The McKinney chief of police disagrees with you.
He said Casebolt went in out of control. He did praise the other 11 officers for their professionalism.
He also laid some of the blame on the kids for their behavior.

McKinney isn’t Ferguson. It’s a pretty well off suburb of Dallas.
The girl who got pushed down lives in that subdivision.
It’s not the Hood and those kids aren’t gangstas.
There’s no rioting or looting going on and the matter’s closed.

The cop resigned as he should have.
Everybody is more or less satisfied.

The video evidence would disagree with the chief and media narrative.

He’s a politician. He’s trying to reduce the tension by throwing the cop under the bus. It’s his job.

Ever since the cop resigned this case has reminded me of the accountant that used the word “niggardly” and was fired. And when everyone realized that was stupid they offered him his job back and he declined.

If I was this cop and participated in the “Sorry, but we’re gonna have to throw you under the bus” closed door meetings you KNOW they had, I’d have had a bit of a “take this job and shove it” attitude myself.

But then, I’ve said for well over a decade that only fools and thugs aspire to be cops in our current cultural environment.
