A British abortion practitioner and two nurses at an abortion clinic in Britain face manslaughter charges for their role in killing a woman from Ireland in a botched legal abortion. Another woman from Ireland also died in recent years after getting a legal abortion in England.
The woman who traveled to England from Ireland in 2012 died following a legal abortion she obtained that resulted in a heart attack caused by “extensive internal blood loss” hours after having the abortion. The woman was 20 weeks pregnant at the time of the abortion and underscores the importance of protecting women from dangerous legal abortions that kill or injure them.
Though medical personnel were called, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A doctor and two nurses have been charged with the manslaughter of a woman who died following an abortion at a clinic in west London.
The woman, 32, from the Republic of Ireland, who has not been named, died in Ealing after the procedure in 2012.
Dr Adedayo Adedeji, 62, and nurses Gemma Pullen, 31, and Margaret Miller, 54, have been charged with manslaughter by gross negligence.
All three are due before Ealing Magistrates’ Court on 19 June.
The charge all three face also relates to failing to take reasonable care of those affected by omissions at work, Scotland Yard said.
The post-mortem conducted on the woman concluded that she died from a heart attack, caused by extensive internal blood loss. The London Metropolitan Police confirmed at the time that they were investigating the woman’s death, which occurred in Slough, on January 21, 2012, and a file was sent to the Crown Prosecution Service.
The 32-year-old married woman was understood to be a foreign national living in Dublin.

The unnamed mother got the abortion at a Marie Stopes abortion clinic in London. Marie Stopes, like Planned Parenthood, is one of the world’s largest abortion business that operates globally.
“A post mortem which took place on 23 January at Wexham Hospital concluded that the cause of death was a heart attack caused by extensive internal blood loss” after the abortion, a spokesman told the Irish Independent newspaper at the time.
Ireland Minister for Children Frances Fitzgerald was reportedly shocked by the news when she heard it then.
“I was extremely shocked. The fact that the woman had left the clinic and started bleeding in a taxi, clearly it’s very important that we hear the outcome of that investigation and understand what were the factors that led to this traumatic and dreadful outcome,” she said.
After the woman’s death, pro-life groups highlighted the fact that abortions are dangerous for women.
Life Institute spokeswoman Niamh Ui Bhriain said that, while the facts remained unclear, it was a tragedy that a woman who had traveled from Ireland had, like so many other women, lost her life following a supposed ‘safe, legal’ abortion.
“This woman died following a so-called ‘safe legal’ abortion carried out in a licensed abortion clinic run by Marie Stopes International, which also provides referral services in Ireland. The Irish media must now call abortion providers to account rather than allowing them to distract from this woman’s death by pretending that abortion clinics in Ireland are the solution.”

i don’t know a woman who has walked away from an abortion without serious issues afterwards. i feel for them even though what they did was terrible. they bought into the lies and deceit of the left.
Abortionists aren’t really interested in the welfare of their patients, any more than a professional hit-man would be. They do it for the money. There’s no percentage in patient care.
They are medical students who weren't good enough to become doctors.
