How does the size of the tax increase compare to the previous tax cut?

Considerably smaller. But the tax cuts enacted already have not resulted in the job growth or revenue growth that were projected when the plan was enacted.

They should just go back to the way things were and start over. At this point I would rather have higher INCOME tax rates than all this monkeying around with everything else. At least it is based on real income.

That's why when you cut taxes you have to cut the spending as well. Otherwise you just continue to pile-up charges on the credit card, and eventually you are forced to get more revenue.
