I’m sorry I gave the impression I was angry - I certainly am not. Not in the least.
I thought we were having a meaningful discussion on the fallout of a probable crime wave in New York. If I came across negative I do apologize.
Besides, I’m sure we’re on the same side; on major issues at least. If we exchange ideas in the future (and I hope we do) I will be more mindful of what I say and how I say it.
Lying won’t lead to peace either. If the commissioner was candid, there would not be panic, but calls for Comrade Wilhelm’s resignation—Bratton is protecting the mayor.

They’ll simply continue burying crime/fudging stats; the penalties in NYC for handguns are too harsh to risk, and most of those that would carry left years ago. NJ saw a real surge in NYC wealth during the Dinkins years...
