I have no use for thuggish cops and punks with a badge. That being said I watched the full video and the girl who was thrown down and arrested was told to leave and walked off and came back. Then started out again and was told to leave and eventually got thrown down for arrest.
From what I saw this officer had a crowd surrounding him and moving in far too close with him ordering them away and then two males moved to his right rear in proximity to his weapon and was headed to moving in behind him. What were their intentions? If you can read minds then you are fine, if you can’t you have to move them out from behind you asap or face being rushed and having your own weapon used against you.

Also, to prove trespassing in Texas, you need to prove that the trespasser had notice that their presence was not authorized. If the people were invited by residents in the community, it would be very difficult to prove a trespassing case.

You don't have to wonder. Just look at what every other officer in the video was doing - calmly (but authoritatively) speaking to the people who were assembled in the vicinity of the pool, attempting to determine who was authorized to be there and who was not, and working to de-escalate a tense situation. Y'know, acting like a professional LEO.

By the time they get to the courthouse, the 15 year old girl will have a very best friend that lives in that community who will say that she invited her to the pool party.
It’s sad that thugs grow up thinking it’s okay to kick in the door of a person’s home and a shame no one helped them to learn manners in this particular incident. That omission just makes it more likely that they will have a learning experience at another home.
I too watched the vid and read as much as I could on this.
I agree with all y’all; that cop had people encircling him.
Not a good thing to do to a cop in that situation.
Kid was mouthing off, started walking away, then came back and started mouthing off again, at which the cop pulled her down.
Only thing the cop did wrong was lose his temper.
That barrel roll he did at the beginning of the vid was because he tripped on a tree root; its big enough to trip over.

You’ve clearly been watching too much TV, or something similarly grounded in unreality, regarding what a judgement on something like this might be worth, if you think it might be over $1MM.

In my line of work, I talk to police officers on a regular basis.
They have to make fast decisions, but they need to be the right decisions.
Yeah, but other than this guy’s facebook post, is there any actual evidence of them kicking in people’s doors, stealing a truck, vandalizing cars, stealing things, etc.?
911 calls? Police reports? Photos of damaged houses/cars/etc?
