To: Organic Panic

A liberal snarkily informed me that those buses sat there because there weren’t enough people licensed to drive them.

I’m not licensed to drive a busload of passengers around either but if I can start it, I can drive it.

Thanks for your post. I seem to recall a story of a teenager who was hailed as a hero for driving a school bus full of folks from New Orleans, to Houston, at that time.

They had drivers ecvery day during the school year for most if not all of those buses. Is that the excuse they will use, no one with a CDL.

I think Nagin's explanation at the time was that the buses did not have restrooms on them.

Of course they could have had the drivers stop every 45 minutes at a McDonald's to let people take a restroom break if needed.
