Farewell, National Review. I stopped my subscription years ago right after W. F. Buckley joined Jimmy Kahtah in the giveaway of the Panama Canal.

The author seems to believe that discussing or even advocating certain issues should be taboo, verboten, off-limits to “Conservatives”.

The remedy for speech that you disagree with is to explain why you believe that it is wrong, misguided, dangerous, whatever.

You talk to any beat cop that works any are where there are homo communities and you will hear the same stuff. They have a whole side of their life devoted to finding gay sex and they ate not normal and definitely not "Gay O.K." (talk anout some naive and easily fooled kids; they have no clue what they are talking about; they were just chanting BS; I'm sure their mothers will love it when they announce they are lesbians)

You miss the point. Featuring a long article espousing something repulsive to sane social conservatives means that the publication has lost its compass and should be avoided.

"Free Speech" is dandy but we also have the right to boycott/avoid/denounce perverts who push their deviance in a formerly conservative site.

We aren't all cowering in disgust. Many of us choose to not to discuss it in a crude way because it is not decent to go into detail of what they are and what they do. (At work, a liberal brought up the "marriage" issue, and I told him that I was waiting for them to come up with a definition of consummation. That's as close as I want to get to the details.) Secondly, I do not allow my children (who are early teens and younger) to be exposed to this stuff, especially during the latency period, and so as not to desensitize them. It is hard work, but we have found good families to socialize with, homeschool, etc. It is not cowering fear, at least not yet.

He discussed homosexuality himself, so that part of your statement is wrong. But he certainly is against the advocating of homosexuality by a supposedly conservative, very Catholic magazine.
