Caitlyn Jenner excitedly tweeted What the hell am I going to wear? when it was announced that the reality star was to be honored at next months ESPYs with the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage.
Caitlyn is the new female identity of former Olympic gold medal winner Bruce Jenner, which was revealed Monday.
But now some are crying foul over ESPNs decision to choose Jenner, 65, instead of Mount St. Joseph basketball player Lauren Hill, who courageously battled brain cancer while staying on the university team. The 19-year-old lost her fight against cancer on April 10.
Several fans took to Twitter to vent their frustration.

According to doctors, transexuals are mentally ill and desperately need treatment. Selecting someone who clearly is mentally disturbed over a genuine courageous athlete demonstrates the hypocrisy and bias of ESPN.
Who do they think that they are fooling?
Dirty little secret at ESPN headquarters:
Lots of homosexuals and far lefties very sympathetic to the transgender agenda.
Not really a secret. They’ve been pushing the leftist agenda for years.
In my world, ESPN doesn’t exist.
Most of the people had the same comment: Why does he dress and act like the stereotype of a 50's woman?
Gotta wonder if what these guys are going for is not something they feel inside, but some image they're fixated on from watching too much I Love Lucy.
If that’s the case, then Norm MacDonald should be given the courage award for agreeing to host one year.
It does take "courage" to cut off one's nads (or whatever poor Bruce did to himself), just not the type of courage to be admired or emulated (by anyone. Ever.).
Jenner is quoted as saying he doesn’t know if he’ll want to have sex with men, women, both or none after his sex change. It hit me then that he only wants the outside packaging. How shallow is that? And that photshopped pic in VF won’t even be what he looks like. Not without tons of surgery, if even then.
I would never think that ESPN would award anything to Jenner since he hasn’t done anything athletically in a billion years. Why ESPN had to get on this “praise the pervert” bandwagon is beyond me.
I could see our (p)resident, himself a homo, praising him, but not ESPN. PATHETIC!
Just about 2-dimensional, like the page of a magazine or the image on a TV screen. The person that was Bruce Genner is gone. Now there's just a media event.
Freak show continues!
I think the narcissistic pervert can still wear a jock strap.
Espn is awful. I may watch 1-2 college football games per year and nothing else on ESPN.
They’re way too liberal and PC for me.
ESPN is a joke. One of their commentators is a regular golf slave to Obama, they continually suck up to leftist and sexually confused political ideologies, and it is all under the guise of SPORTS.
Garbage.
Knee-jerk leftists have pint-sized memories, and zero comprehension skills. The lefties at ESPN prove it.
ESPN is a soap opera in Spandex. Those old anchors love the sob stories but you’d think that even this bunch of cretins would know that a courageous hoopster fighting cancer is more worthy than yet another sexual freak.
But what can you expect from the network that featured Michael Sam kissing his boyfriend on NFL draft day last year. Millions of viewers threw up a little in the back of their throats at that one.
when he walks on stage it isn’t going to look like the Vanity Fair cover. It will be horrendous. Old flabby skin, face that is in shambles, with red lipstick, no amount of make up or girdles etc, can change how he is going to look. It will set back the transgender movement by years.
I might actually watch just for the gag value.
He might come out in a straight jacket as well.....much more appropriate
I’m waiting for the voice
