"...the owner twin peaks was told to keep the bikers away because the police chief had gotten word there was going to be a war among them...

This is disputed by the franchise owner, who is now the ex-franchise owner.

He said the police are liars, who never told him to disallow bikers. I believe him.

More likely is the Waco PD working in collusion with the Bandidos to emasculate the Cossacks so as to continue their monopoly on the drug corridors that go from McAllen TX up to Odessa and Dallas. As you know, these biker gangs serve the cartels in their goal to move drugs north.

Okay, Rita, as promised, I will respond to your simple question in an nicely informative post, summarized:

... my question is why the typical Waco cop, who was stuck in that melee, assigned to it, was made to be so psyched with fear and adrenalin, alarm, anxiety and really, panic, that it was a bath for nine souls. ... Waco people know these cops, their kids probably go to school together, and church. If cops are still human too, they are probably married, maybe soccer coaches, whatever. So, what is the deal, here, that their training took second place to emotional reaction that is being deemed unsound? I want to understand them first. I want to know what happened in their head that they were emotionally overwhelmed and who set them in that mindset. ... it’s almost a shame to even worry stressed out cops, with some big @$$ crowd of a bunch of unknowns, from who the hell knows where, converging in any town just because they want to ...

Respectfully, your starting point is one filled with false assumptions (words above in bold, for example, as well as the assumption that Waco cops dominated) and ... well, truly with the utmost respect, BUT it's a little like someone who wants to learn how to walk before they crawl.

So when I tell you that:

a) no one has any idea whatsoever how many of LEOs involved were local Waco cops
b) that a segment of Waco cops, as in any town in America, would jump at the chance to rise from local to fed status and cooperating with Fed LEOs, following their directions, would do that
c) that local cops, anywhere, any town, are as likely to be crooked as straight, that is just a fact of life
d) that most retired cops today are DISGUSTED with the way new cops are being trained
e) it looks very much like this operation was NOT a local cop deal but instead, local cops were included ...

... when I tell you that, I am pretty sure that you will come back at me and say, "But, where's your proof? Why do you think those things?" When I say, "Well, it's because of information I have spent many hours digging out and perusing, life experience with a whole lotta cops, small town AND city, cop friends, bikers, and personal jail time," and you reject my qualifications, so to speak, as making my opinion worthwhile ...

Well, I go back to you and say, again, that if you are really, truly serious about finding the answers to YOUR question or questions, if you are serious about it, then you will invest the time and the effort to find out for yourself.

Be aware that cops, especially today's cops undergoing today's training, are as likely to be bad guys as good guys, so anyone who is smart will treat cops EXACTLY like they treat civilians -- trust is EARNED on an individual basis as proven; otherwise, assume at the very least a skeptical reserve, or you are a sitting duck. Attributing qualities of honor and trustworthiness based on the possession of a badge, has always been a mistake and exponentially more of a mistake today than 25 years ago.

God bless you and yours, Rita.

That, and creating a foundation for mass intimidation, demonization, and eradication of any form of organized Harley clubs, all across America.

I trust 90% of the bikers more than I trust 90% of the politicians.

The 10% of the bikers I don’t trust I simply stay away from.

Don’t have that luxury with the politicians. They keep making unconstitutional laws that rob me and my posterity of constitutional self-government in liberty.

:^) When this story first broke and I only read the headlines or heard sound-bite news reports, my automatic response was, "Well, why the hell not just let them shoot it out among themselves? No big loss, so a bunch of criminal bikers shot each other, big deal," and ignored the story for weeks until I noticed that FReepers I hold in very high regard were watching it, so I decided to look into it myself. I STARTED OUT basically from the same place you did, Rita.

... some big @$$ crowd of a bunch of unknowns, from who the hell knows where, converging in any town just because they want to ...

Wrong. It was a well-publicized event promoted well in advance with flier and announcements. It was to discuss legislation in the state of Texas regarding motorcycles. It represented a coalition of clubs, from bad-boy one-percenters to benign buddy clubs. Club member or not, motorcyclists were welcome, at least as far as I can discern. So the entire false assumption that this was just a bunch of bikers "converging in any town just because they want to," could have been avoided had you invested the time to learn the core facts. I invested that time, and I have to say it is annoying when after all this time, there are still people who are supposedly seeking the truth, who are still under the impression that this was just a bunch of bikers invading a restaurant.

Amen. And even those bikers you choose to stay away from -- in fact and reality, even the hardest of hard core murdering racketeering meth-pushing robbing bad guys come from a live-and-let-live ethic where they won't bother you if you don't bother them. As depraved and degenerate as the bad ones are, the way the function in the world is more honorable and from a better ethic than the same in the politicians who are the real threats to Americans. The baddest biker is a piker in comparision.

Finny, I think this is the best of your posted comments to which I should reply. The reason I think it is the best of our trail of comments for me to be able to attempt a reply is that I can identify with your first sentence, which was about your own initial response to the Waco story. You said it was your “...automatic response...”.

That is just how I responded to it, as you said, from the same “starting point”.

That is where I still am, for the time being. I just wanted you to know that’s but for. the. time. being.

For the time being and only because I am not following it, nor have I read or combed through any of the previously posted threads here, entirely, or through out, so I did miss the poster you referred to who was rich with information.

Just this morning I noticed on DRUDGE that a story is up on the protest forming against the continuing biker arrests. I have not yet read it. (Been out of town, so it may be days old.)

I have not posted any more comments on the Waco threads, except for you. It seems to cause too much consternation to those who are closely following it to have to hear from those who are not.

Wanting to side with the cops is becoming hazardous. :)

Anyway, I appreciate that you should even care what I think, and if all the evidence from both sides does shake out to the side of the bikers, as many here say, I will get to the place where you are and want to follow it too.

Presently, I think Waco is possibly just one more sign of orchestrated collapse of our country, that a break down of law and order is a requirement that has to be accomplished. In that effort, I have a fear of being a useful idiot, shaped by events as they appear to be, and unable to recognize what is really behind what we see. I am biased in favor of the law and order side, given the nearly 12 months of demoralizing cops being the mission of Marxists and fools.

BTW, if this were reversed, I would be just as exasperated, but I would be always interested in what you think, also. Thanks, Finny.
