They try to make a big deal about Fiorina being fired from Hewlett-Packard.

So?

I’d rather have a candidate who’s been through the mill, yeah, who’s been fired once or twice.

And she worked for HP for five years, go on. That’s about average this day and age in upper level jobs.

In fact, I rather like that she’s been fired. I got fired once.

Being fired used to be a stigma, now it is just another fact of life for all working Americans. Sometimes firing is earned, many times it is layoffs, corporate buyouts, foreign buyers replacing American workers with their own people, and so on. Employee merit is hostage to new owners. Carly can be seen as either accomplishing a necessary survival for HP or making matters worse. Depends on the view and expectations of all involved. We have been thru all of the above and learned to save for our future and live as debt free as possible. That has paid off. I admire Carly for moving on and can see her as being a plus for the GOP however she winds up.
