Although Hastert was squeezed, the payments may be defensible as compensation for an injury, with secrecy desired by the payee as much as by Hastert. In many of the clerical abuse cases, male victims who could show grievous, lasting damage due to sexual abuse insisted upon secrecy so that they could avoid embarrassment and being marked publicly as a victim.

How did Frist enter this discussion? He’s been out of office since ‘07, same as Hastert? Is that your connection? Obama was a nobody when Frist was Majority Leader. I don’t get the connection.

Uh. Frist booked out of there just about the time 0bama was getting ready to run. He and 0bama, well, um. Search for yourself, please EDINVA. The original story came out of the CBC somehow.

Makes one wonder about how many other “bombshells” are ready to go in case of actual bombshells.

My actual points about all these people is that 0bama played them, jive hustler that he is. He now has dirt all the way to the bank.

Hastert was one of MANY.

I would lay money that that goes for McTurtle and Boner, too, along with most of the others that don’t go home much, where they’re exposed to THEIR people.

Those dark spots, cafes and restaurants like the dark-paneled wood one near the WH have a number of walkways that lead elsewhere.

“lying to the FBI.”

I’m still not understanding why this is illegal whereas it is perfectly legal for them (law enforcement) to lie to you.

“When it comes to blackmail, I’ll give a teenager who was molested by his gay teacher/coach a pass. “

I believe that I’d see it as restitution, and he can afford it.

Obama, Lynch and Jarrett sending a message to other GOP-e closeted homos to fall in line on the Patriot Act, Amnesty and ObamaCare subsidies.

Probably the same threat the zer0 regime he sent to John Roberts

“Making false statements (18 U.S.C. § 1001) is the common name for the United States federal crime laid out in Section 1001 of Title 18 of the United States Code, which generally prohibits knowingly and willfully making false or fraudulent statements, or concealing information, in “any matter within the jurisdiction” of the federal government of the United States, even by mere denial. A number of notable people have been convicted under the section, including Martha Stewart, Illinois Democrat Governor Rod Blagojevich, Scooter Libby, Bernard Madoff, and Enron CEOJeffrey Skilling.

This statute is used in many contexts. Most commonly, prosecutors use this statute to reach cover-up crimes such as perjury, false declarations, and obstruction of justice and government fraud cases.”— Wikipedia

That was clear when we all knew that Obama was up to his neck in the selling of his Senate seat, but that Obama's team got Governor Rod Blagojevich to take the fall.

Over 500 hours of phone call conversations for 0bama and Emanuel were prohibited during Blago’s trial, for fear of revealing their personal lives.

I do know that Emanuel, at least, would go around the shower room naked, making demands on other Congressmen and Senators. Not sexual demands, necessarily. Intimidation regarding legislation.

It’s like from some movie, thinking about all this.

If he’d only been a Democrat member of Congress carrying on with a young House page, there would have been little problem.

“Sounds like there’s a blackmailer out there who needs to be indicted along with Hastert.”

Likely the blackmailer did not report the income from Hastert on his tax returns. Will the IRS and state bureau of revenue seek to collect?

It seems he’s being blackmailed by a victim or victim’s family, for money. Not a democrat, for political favors.

I know the conspiracy theories will run rampant anyway.

I understand that. My point is that this happened a long time ago and I would not be surprised if he was also blackmailed for political favors. I mean come on. I am not presenting it as fact. I’m just saying I would not be surprised.

Ever wonder why so many queer friendly laws get passed in states and federal legislatures? The perverts are abundant in politics. Lindsey Graham being one of them

I figured it was sexual. Given the amount of money I should have figured it was THIS.

Still don’t care about his “financial crime” but hope they throw the book at the faggot anyway. Wresting coach, ugh.

Current FR conspiracy theory, dems MUST have known and blackmailed him to be less conservative.

I believe that he just wasn’t very conservative or a particularity good leader. He’s an IL combiner after all.
