You got that right. The welfare state is purchasing illegitimate children. This has to stop. Poverty could be stopped in one generation.
Just change the law and NOT PAY for illegitimate children, period. Women would then hold their men more accountable, because they could not set up household and “earn a living” by raising their children. The children are slaves because it is their existence which sustains the mother economically.
They can defer and limit their fertility as everyone else has to do. Wait until you find a decent marriageable man, and have the children you can actually provide for. BY DEFINITION you cannot provide for children if someone else is providing you the economic means to support them.
ONE GENERATION of women not being paid for babies will stop this.
Women can still have illegitimate children, they and the father just have to provide for them. For the unfortunate teen, adoption is still an option, and best for the child rather than setting the teen mother up with a household.
This one change would stop the cycle of poverty.
Let’s demand it.
