The residents’ civil rights, particularly their Second Amendment rights, have been virtually nullified by a Democrat-dominated city government that regards mob violence as possibly the highest and most legitimate form of political expression.

Well, pardon me if I don't shed a tear for the poor long-suffering inhabitants of Baltimore city. Last I checked, these Marxists didn't just walk into their elected positions - they were voted in by somebody. How does the saying go again?

"You don't get the government you want, you get the government you deserve.", or something like that?

I have seen it to many times. The DOJ will fire the cops on the street and let Baltimore be burned to the ground before they admit that the situation was handled wrong.

The problem with Baltimore and the rest of America is that “the system” is evil. By “the system,” he meant American norms and the nation’s free institutions.

No, the problem is that black culture has become evil, psychopathic. Their belief system has become illogical, irrational, & anti-social. Racist behavior among them has become the norm.

The reason the mayor is clueless about the crime is that she is a product of that culture. She has no ability for critical self examination. She is incapable of being unbiased.

Most of her community is just as afflicted. With the encouragement of Marxists, crime & violence has become the norm. The very positive ideas of hard work & personal responsibility have been destroyed by the welfare state & vote hungry Liberals. The nanny/police state has criminalized personal, private behavior, destroying the close relationship the police once had with ALL communities, but especially the black community.

Given that nearly 1/2 of whites routinely vote for more of the same insanity, as do 90% of blacks, the outcome for Baltimore & most other cities with significant black populations is easily forecast: Continuous decline, increased violence, emptying, decaying neighborhoods. Why would anyone stay that can go?

One would hope the American Legion makes the decision soon to move their national convention out of Baltimore. They still have two months.
