IIRC, back in the 1980's when I was in high school, one of my teachers, well a couple really, did not like how our educations system was run. It is basically a highly structured, German Bismarck model where it is designed to turn out worker drones instead of fostering free thinking. I think with that in mind and the Communist goals, we are there now and as time goes on, we are actually abusing our kids by stifling free thought and the ability to think.

I'm afraid as a society, we have fallen asleep at the switch on this one and we are paying for it dearly.

Yup. I look at it is Darwin in action. We will collapse because of it, the idiocy will literally die off and then the strong will survive. Self correcting problem, but it sucks that nature is a cruel mistress sometimes.

I have always been able to spot home-schooled kids as soon as I arrived at a new church. They are the kids who look you in the eye and talk to you. Once you get to know some home-schooled kids you can see how damaged school-schooled kids are. And private school is almost as bad as government school.
