Sadly, it looks like that’s the way this Hastert thing is going.

The [alleged] humans claiming the things you've just claimed have lost one court case already, and motion after motion in a second case. Why do you think the NCAA rescinded their sanctions?

It couldn't be a corrupt, statewide, inbred system protecting their own?

Nah, couldn't be.

The accusations over Paterno's "involvement" in Sandusky's crimes is as preposterous as the "Satanic Abuse" cases of the 1980's.

His involvement was in letting it continue. Winning, at all costs. Seems like you've got the fever, too.

I read that FBI has been watching his account since 2013 and they were concerned he was being extorted- which turns out to be case.

He didn’t let it continue. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Here’s the federal law:
“Making false statements (18 U.S.C. § 1001) is the common name for the United States federal crime laid out in Section 1001 of Title 18 of the United States Code, which generally prohibits knowingly and willfully making false or fraudulent statements, or concealing information, in “any matter within the jurisdiction” of the federal government of the United States, even by mere denial. A number of notable people have been convicted under the section, including Martha Stewart, Rod Blagojevich, Scooter Libby, Bernard Madoff, and former aenron CEO Jeffrey Skilling.”— Wikipedia

And is lying to police really a crime? It's not an official court proceeding. I'd like to know the real law on this.

Ask Martha Stewart.

Lying to the FBI is at minimum Obstruction of Justice.

They’re assuming that anyone who doesn’t want to be monitored must be involved in illegal activity. “If you’re not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to fear”.

Sounds like an unconstitutional law.

Only lying under oath, in a court of law, should be criminal. Or under color of authority.

He should have created a “FOUNDATION”. Put the money into the foundation and then put whoever he wanted to get the money on the board of directors. That seems to be the Clinton way.
