I had wanted to tell you that you’re full of sh!t, a typical cop hater and go on to bash you for about 10 minutes, but I won’t.
I first read your profile page and listened to some of your music....I liked it. I came away with the impression that you’re likely a nice guy, talented and have a good family.....so I put down my sword.
We don’t know what happened, but if we’re going to guess, my guess is that the officer sat down for a few minutes and fell asleep. Perhaps he even left the car running with the air conditioner on...but it ran to of gas.
This guy didn’t mean to kill his dogs, but their lives were his responsibility and he should pay dearly.

“completing his midnight shift.” Does that mean his shirt started at midnight, so he worked, what, 8 hours? Got home at say 9 am and never once thought of the dogs between then and 7pm the next evening? Benefit of the doubt the dogs were left unattended in the vehicle for 10 hours. Never once thought he should feed them? Let them out to exercise or relieve themselves? Given the times in the story, midnight shift until 7 pm the following day, I don’t see how this could be anyone’s fault but his own.

Yes, there is a possibility that inter-dimensional aliens placed the dogs in the back of his cruiser and framed him. The common sense explanation that he left them in the back of a car and they fried to death in sweltering Florida heat may be 99.999999999% accurate, but we just gotta give this guy the 0.000000001% of the doubt. He’s a cop donchaknow, he is incapable of this by the mere possession of a shiny metal object.
Perhaps, I will wait and see as we should with all accusations not just those against police.
