Amalia Mendez, a housekeeper and mother of four from Guatemala, has been hanging many hopes on President Obama’s executive action in November that would defer deportation for up to 5 million people like herself. Now, with a federal court ruling Tuesday putting that program in limbo for the foreseeable future, she is putting those hopes on hold.
“I would be able to earn more if I had papers, and so would my husband. We could get insurance and a nicer home for our children. Most important is that we would not have to be afraid every time we leave the house,” Mendez, 41, said Wednesday, speaking in Spanish. “I am sad about this news, but I am not giving up hope. If I get deported, I don’t even want to think about what would happen to my children.”
Mendez, a longtime resident of Falls Church, Va., is one of an estimated 180,000 to 200,000 illegal immigrants in the greater Washington region who would be eligible to apply for deportation relief under last year’s executive action.

I would be able to keep more of my hard-earned money, enjoy lower auto insurance rates and safer streets if we were not hosting 25% of the population of Mexico and other third world countries who feel entitled to cross our borders at will and take that which was intended for Americans.

Not only are we hosting large chunks of foreign populations, we are hosting the dregs of society from those countries. The poorest, laziest, criminal, drug addicted, drunk driving welfare SCUM of the earth!

Businesses didn't play games about needing more and more foreign workers and if you weren't consistently worth the premium, then your contract wasn't renewed. As you can imagine, they attracted a completely different type of foreign population than we do.
Well, they could go home and the limbo would be gone. According to Jeb Bush, Mexico has plenty of gifted youths to make Mexico a great nation. It would be selfish for us to keep them here.
