How does deregulating something to make it an over the counter drug constitute “the nanny state”?

Seriously, this was a major campaign theme of his and it was Udall making the “war on women” the entire campaign theme, even implying Gardner wanted to ban birth control.

Whether or not you support this legislation, to show up here and start spouting off this is something you had never heard of and is something new - is embarrassing.

Margaret Sanger would be thrilled with these alleged “Republicans.”

And by the way, most of what they call “birth control” are actually abortifacients.

IOW, chemical weapons of mass destruction which prevent the already-created child from implanting in their mother’s uterus.

No moral difference between that and locking your four year old child in a closet with no food or water until they’re dead.

Wasn’t that long ago that Gardner was supportive of the personhood campaign in Colorado. Then he started running for the Senate, surrounded himself with the usual suspect GOP political hacks, and PRESTO, he’s pushing this crapola.

**Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) **

What’s wrong with this Republican? And other Republicans?

Abortion is a democrat platform plank. Don’t go there.

The nanny state in question is the one that exists now.

Where in the Constitution does the federal government get the authority to regulate birth control (except for maybe the abortifacient kinds)?

“Presumably this is actually an early abortion medication.”

Ah, ok. If this is, in fact, what they are talking about, I see your point ... something along the lines of RU486 or similar.

I was under the impression they were talking about birth control pills.

See what happens when you let blind rage dictate your positions :-).

If they’re talking about ‘birth control pills’, I’d be all for it ... anything that keeps people away from a sewer like Planned Parenthood is a good thing. All of these sickening organizations with Soviet, “Happy Sounding” names have got to go.

“The fact is that most people can get birth control at Wal-Mart for around $4 a month! If you can’t afford that, then you have a very serious financial priority issue”

I recently heard someone bitching about having to pay a $250 copay for deviated septum surgery ... I’ve seen people flip out having to pay $10 for a prescription like Zithromax. People are well trained to think that anything related to ‘health’ should be free.

The only reason Government wants control of health care is for population control. If you’re going to go full Soviet, you gotta make sure the masses are kept to a managable level ... this typically involves a political purge followed by a war, followed by “the best healthcare on the planet for free”. I’ll never understand the mind of a statist ... if socialism is so great, why is it always implemented at gunpoint?

Sorry for straying off topic :-).

I am glad that your major campaign was successful. I for never have heard of it, well I am not embarrassed.

I will continue to comment and if you feel offended, you can at least know that I am not "embarrassed." Good day.

Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) is leading a new push to allow women to buy birth control without a prescription, hoping to deliver on one of the biggest promises of his freshman Senate campaign last year.

Are these people born morons or do they have to work at it? We're not talking about aspirin here. My doctor asked a lot of questions, looked at my medical history, and did some blood work before she recommended which oral birth control was best for me. And this idiot thinks it's as easy as going to the pharmacy and grabbing what's on sale. No wonder the Democrats manage to make the "war on women" shtick work.

That makes absolutely no sense as a response. The premise of your comments was factually inaccurate and indicated you do not follow news and current events closely. Then you respond with “I am glad that your major campaign was successful. I for never have heard of it, well I am not embarrassed. I will continue to comment and if you feel offended, you can at least know that I am not “embarrassed.” Good day.” What in the world does that even mean?
