Yea, but most are not. The best thing they have, when they
actually have it, is their apprenticeship programs. They
are great for training skilled workers. The problem I find in union electricians is the lack of experience. I’ve seen
8 year journeyman who couldn’t wire a house or run conduit
but was great at changing ballasts and breakers.
