AMONG liberals, its almost universally assumed that of the two major parties, its the Republicans who have become more extreme over the years. Thats a self-flattering but false narrative.

Much of the country has pulled too far left.
Mighty sketchy article. Based on your excerpt, there must be what? Another sentence?
Did the sun come up this morning? Of course liberals would probably question that, but to the rest of us the answer is yes.
Yes.
Not as far left as their base would like,
Sanders is a radical rightist to them.
To liberals, Alinsky is to the right of Obama.
Nah...there's still some daylight between Democrat and Communism. Not much, but there's still a gap to close.
The Democrat Party set a course for Communist nutbar land in 1896.
But Democrats are into 'utterly bizarre' mode: Hating the country they supposedly are in allegience to, despising God, making nature more important than humanity, holding the homosexual as the superior sexual orientation, and oppressing the white man where-ever they can.
Yes. A LONG time ago.
Not according to them.
What planet does this ass-hat call home?
Anyone who would ask such a thing does not have a good understanding of the nature of the left wing.
"Change" is one of the major driving forces of their mindset. Just as bored children want to meddle with things, so too must liberals be "changing" current conditions to something different.
The concept of "optimization" is alien to them. To their way of thinking, if society isn't "changing" it's defective.
To answer the question, "No." No, the Democrats don't believe they have moved too far left. They don't even know what that means.
Very perceptive observation. 1896 really was the turning point for the Democratic Party. If Grover Cleveland were running today, I’d be a Democrat. It’s sad how far a once great party has fallen.
To a lib, there is no such thing as ‘too far left’.
Because totalitarianism is for OTHER people, not them - until reality sets in...
There was a battle in the dem party and the far left won. There is also a battle in the repub party, where it is on the verge of turning purple.
It is no longer the Democrat Party. It is the ComDem Party.
The Last time the CPUSA ran a POTUS Candidate was 1984, Since then they have endorsed the Democrat nominee. They not only had a place at the table in the Democrat Party, but they control the Democrat Party.
Here is proof of what I said.

Duh.
People say the R’s have gone FAR right while the D’s have retained the center. It’s laughable.
The simple test: Which one agrees the most with the general public 10, 20, 30 or 50 years ago? Fact is they are BOTH left of center. The Dems just WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY left.
But if you were to ask most liberals the party is "mainstream". They don't know ANY Republicans personally.
