I’ll just let the FBI know they can stop investigating racketeering, kidnapping, and other cases they’re working on that aren’t related to political issues too, then, shall I?

I don’t care if you don’t care. This is a HUGE case, years in the making, involving hundreds of millions (and possibly even higher orders) in bank and wire fraud, and this is only the tip of the iceberg. This might be the biggest singular organized crime case of all time if they can make it stick.

But it doesn’t have anything to do with domestic political agendas, so let’s just ignore the whole thing, right?

In the grand order of things, domestic issues which are clear indications of vast corruption of our own government are far more important than a bunch of European soccer officials getting bribed.

These are not “political” issues, but issues of massive lawbreaking by government officials who have power over us that we give them.

Other countries can go after FIFA, as they are far more invested in soccer as a national past-time than we are.

And it is not a case of stopping all other legal investigations—that is a ridiculous argument.

The fact is that our Justice Department chooses NOT to investigate obvious government corruption as a way to protect the regime.

But, not to worry, we have time, money and manpower to go after soccer officials based in Europe.
