Florida International University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication in conjunction with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Center have developed a web app, known as the Sea Level Rise Toolbox, which helps Miami-Dade residents visualize the possible impact of rising seas in South Florida on their neighborhoods.
...."Our goal with our app is to inform residents of South Florida about the potential impact of sea level rise where they live,”– said Susan Jacobson, assistant professor of journalism at FIU and the web app project manager. “We want to help our fellow Floridians understand sea level rise and how it may affect their community.”

Great - I really am curious as to your opinion on this, then, since your land will be affected if this hoax happened to be true.

Second, my property is 150 feet above sea level and an hour and a half drive to either the Gulf coast or the Atlantic coast. If the seas were to rise that much over my kids' lifetimes, Florida residents would not be the only ones thumbing a ride down the road seeking higher ground. Florida was at one time covered with the oceans and I'm sure it will happen again. But not anytime in the foreseeable future of anybody alive today. The soil is very sandy and shells can be found when digging for fence posts. The only rocks or boulders found down here are actually coral buried in the earth from long ago ocean coverage.
And finally, of course I wouldn't want myself or my kids to live under a totalitarian fascist dictatorship. Who would? The liberal, elite, Marxist Left, because they would be the only ones to benefit from such a system. Power, wealth, high standard of living, while the rest of the world population would languish in poverty and suffering. So you ask a somewhat loaded question.
I don't believe in global warming or that we'll be under a fascist regime anytime soon. Of course, either of them could happen but I will deal with it when it does. I've learned to not worry about things I cannot control.

Another thing you posted reminded me of something I’ve come to understand about lefty elitists as well.
It’s not enough for them to be wealthy and living luxurious lifestyles - everyone else has to be in squalor in order to have a maximum “difference” in lifestyles.
Exactly. These elitist Lefties are not in it for the cause to make it better for poor people. They’re in it for themselves and only use the poor folks as a means to their own end. They could care less about the poor and disadvantaged people except to get themselves elected.
