From TubeHaus Website They are the 1st Rental below the Dam.

(Note: The Flow at the Sattler Gage should match the Outlet Works Release Rate when the gages are working properly. If there is a difference between the two readings, then either one of the gages is not working properly or recent rainfall runoff has increased the river flow at the Sattler Gage. The Sattler Gage is located immediately below the Release Gate at Canyon Lake Dam.)

I hear more rain is in the forecast, for the area...tornados, too.

Thunderstorm and downpour right now about 10 miles away.

To this day, the erosion on that side of the dam is still very obvious.

Illusion for sure.

It is hard to grasp the contours of the land from a photo.

We live a mile and a half from the headwaters of Blanco River, high on a hill. Never seen it that high in 22 years. In Blanco it went over the bridge on 281, took out Blanco State Park and Bindseil Park. There was an RV park on 165 that had just changed owners. It’s gone, hope the new owner had flood insurance.

I believe this is the general area where the apartments are located.

Terrible! Any idea how many, if any, RV’s were there, at the time?

So sad....lots of folks were in these areas for the Memorial Day weekend.

New Braunfels is OK. I checked the Guadalupe behind Gruene Hall yesterday and the rapids were boiling. Bubba’s Big Deck is still with us. Four years ago, I think, it rained 12 inches in two hours between here and Canyon Lake in the wee hours. The wall of water that came down the river left Bubba’s a no deck and no building, just a slab. The fleet of school busses the Rockin’ R tubin’ outfitter had were wrapped around trees.

I don’t know but being the Memorial Day weekend, likely full. Yesterday after we walked out of church in Blanco there were a couple of choppers flying overhead, probably searching the river.
Going to try and get to San Antonio now, my business is there and by the morning it may not be possible to get out, again.

Yesterday I (and a million other people) were out taking pics around Lake Travis, and everyone’s eyes were wide with surprise and relief. We just had a massive complex roll over the Highland runoff zone: I suspect we will wake up to Travis being 655’, up from 629ft two weeks ago.

I hope the Water Warriors are jumping out of windows. There are no worse gougers.
