Umm.. way back when I stuck a print statement in a DO loop. FORTRAN did exactly what I told it to do... The results were, um, interesting and required SysOP intervention.

I remember that! It was the talk of the college! :)

You heard about it too?? Didn't know the story traveled that far..

Of course today no one knows what a DO loop is. Or keypunch machines. Or punch cards. Or even FORTRAN for that matter.. ;-)

Yes I know there are similar structures in most programing languages and FORTRAN is still in use. Somewhere. Just bear with me for the sake of the story line.. ;-)
