The Pope should stick to theology and leave pseudo-science to experts like Gore.

I don’t think Pope has a climate change message.

Just as Obama is the worst president in my lifetime (and I would argue, in the history of the United States), so is Pope Francis the worst pope in my lifetime. He is a hardcore Marxist, which is perhaps a bit strange given Marx’s thoughts on religion.

`What would be the best way for us to support the faith community in getting this out and using it as a call to action?'

Follow the teachings of Christ.

Funny how they all seem to forget their first directive.

You want to promote climate change? Order your people to don sackcloth and ashes and repent of their sins.

Then God might relent.

Need to sell the Vatican...give the money to the UN to help deal with this sin.

This Pope is the main reason why I probably will leave the church. Again. And the Catholics which organize for his “climate change” message are the other reason.

Can’t they just join the Anglican Church?

There will be prayer vigils and pilgrimages

Pray for a global, socialist command economy where people are thrown in prison for earning a little money on the side to help their families.

In other words, groups oirganized by the Catholic Charities in exchange for government funding or rather large donations from the Soros’ network.

The article incorrectly identifies the group as Catholic. There is no such thing as “progressive,” or “conservative,” rather, a person is orthodox or not.

Take for example, Catholics for Choice. They are not orthodox, quite the contrary. On the other hand, EWTN is orthodox, while SSPX is heterodox (they would disagree).

Religion isn’t politics, though they often intersect.

Are these “Progressive Catholics” the same ones who embrace gay marriage, abortion on demand, and other acts deemed wrong by the Catholic Church?

Perhaps the Pope could direct his attention to the Christians being murdered by the bushel in the middle east and elsewhere instead of this nonexistent problem.

“Progressive Catholic”...an oxymoron or a sign of the times?

"Francis is issuing the encyclical by the end of June with an eye toward the end-of-year U.N. climate change conference in Paris. "

I'm praying for snow, in June, in Paris.
